So-Fly Chicken finds a new chicken coop

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – So-Fly Chicken reopened today in a new location in College Station. Those looking for a bite to eat can find the restaurant’s new home on Texas Avenue in the Old Boomtown barbecue venue.

The restaurant was previously located at Public and Main and operated from a drive-thru before it closed. Co-owner Andreas Dallis said they always wanted So-Fly Chicken to have their own building and were thrilled when the opportunity presented itself.

“It’s wonderful to be locals, it’s a very familiar place,” Dallis said. “I used to cycle around here. Texas Avenue, just at the start of Texas Avenue when coming from Hwy 6 from South College Station, lots of traffic here, very familiar, we like it a lot.”

Dallis said what makes the restaurant unique is its concept of fast food from scratch.

“This is all relatively new to us as we’ve been full-service operators for over 20 years and these QSR (quick-service restaurant) concepts we’ve only been in for three years now, but we love it,” Dallis said.

Dallis said customers can expect to enter a restaurant that has a bright, upbeat atmosphere full of energy.

The restaurant is open from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Saturday and from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Some menu items include the straight shooter chicken sandwich, king of the south taco, and their morning artisan fries. For a full list of menu items, click here.
